I was lucky enough to receive these from my partner for my birthday which was on the 6th (a little belated as they took a while to arrive!). They're all books with cover illustrations by Dick Bruna. He's infamous for his Miffy and children's book illustrations so it was such a great discovery when we visited an exhibition of his work at Dick Bruna Huis in Utrecht, Holland a couple of years ago.

ReplyDeleteI love his use of colour and how he makes it look so simple to make simple images work! and it's not! it's very hard! I love the two faces looking at each other with red cheeks in the last photo, their faces fit together perfect! that's clever!x
